This unit introduces Reception students to fundamental athletic movements through playful, whole-body experiences that build confidence and coordination. The emphasis is on developing natural movement patterns - running, jumping, and throwing - whilst fostering spatial awareness, following instructions, and celebrating effort over outcome. Through progressive skill-building activities, students discover how their bodies work as connected systems whilst developing the foundation skills that underpin all future athletic development.
