This unit introduces Reception students to fundamental movement patterns through engaging, play-based activities that develop speed, agility, and directional awareness. The emphasis is on building confidence in multi-directional movement whilst establishing crucial safety habits around starting, stopping, and spatial awareness. Through animal movements and imaginative play, students develop essential gross motor skills that form the foundation for all future PE learning.
