Taking off and landing with both feet at the same time
Moving by jumping on one foot repeatedly

Landing with knees bent to absorb the impact
The area around you where you can move safely without touching others
Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Counting jumps and hops, measuring jumping distances, understanding patterns in movement sequences
Forces and motion in jumping, how muscles work during take-off and landing, understanding impact and absorption
Directional vocabulary (forwards, backwards, sideways), spatial awareness and mapping movement around obstacles
Following rules for safety, cooperation and sharing space, resilience when activities are challenging, celebrating others' achievements
Stand where you can see all students - usually at edge or corner of space. Move around during activities to provide individual support
Watch for safe landing technique, appropriate use of space, and students following game rules correctly
Step in if students are using unsafe technique, not following rules, or showing signs of frustration or fatigue
Always demonstrate the full movement slowly first, then at normal speed. Use exaggerated movements so all students can see clearly. Face students when demonstrating or use a student to demonstrate while you narrate
Minimum 15m x 20m hall space, clear of obstacles and with non-slip surface
Ensure floor is dry, clean and free from hazards. Remove any slippery mats or equipment from area
Stop all activity immediately on command, assess injury severity, apply first aid if qualified, seek additional support as needed
