This unit introduces Year 1 students to fundamental gymnastics movements through creative exploration and body awareness development. The focus is on building confidence in basic locomotion whilst developing essential concepts of muscle tension, shape-making, and sequence building. Through progressive challenges that move from floor work to apparatus, students discover how their bodies can create exciting movement patterns whilst developing crucial safety awareness and control.
