•Distribute balls around perimeter of playing area before lesson starts

Use to mark playing area boundaries and monster cave entrance gates

For identifying monster ball eaters (defenders) during games
Alternative: Coloured bands or scarves
Keeping control of the ball within your team
Moving the ball with your feet while maintaining close control
Sending the ball accurately to a teammate using your feet
Bringing the ball under control when it comes from a teammate
Keeping the ball close to your feet so you can decide what to do next
Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Following complex instructions, using descriptive vocabulary for movement, communicating effectively with partners
Counting passes in Monster Cave challenges, measuring distances for passing, timing possession periods, spatial awareness and positioning
Understanding forces when kicking balls, balance and coordination, effects of exercise on heart rate and breathing
Directional language (left, right, towards, away from), mapping movement patterns around playing area
Teamwork and cooperation, resilience when facing challenges, honesty in following game rules, empathy for partners and opponents
Move around perimeter of playing area to observe all students, periodically enter playing area to give individual feedback
Watch for ball control technique, partnership cooperation, understanding of possession concept, and safe play
Step in if students struggling with basic techniques, safety concerns arise, or rules not being followed correctly
Use clear, exaggerated movements so all students can see. Select confident students for demonstrations. Always show technique side-on for best visibility of foot placement.
Minimum 20m x 30m playing area plus 10m x 5m Monster Cave area, clear of obstacles
Dry, even surface checked for holes, debris, or slippery areas
Stop activity immediately if injury occurs. Assess severity, provide appropriate first aid, and seek additional support if required. Ensure other students remain safely occupied.
