This unit develops Year 3 students' ability to transform ideas, images and words into expressive dance sequences through progressive creative challenges. Beginning with an engaging Egyptian theme, students build choreographic skills from individual exploration to sophisticated group performances using canon and formation changes. The unit uniquely bridges literacy and physical expression, enabling students to 'read' visual and poetic stimuli and translate them into meaningful movement narratives.
