This unit develops Year 3 students' understanding of possession as the foundation of successful football play. Beginning with individual ball mastery skills, students progress through collaborative passing combinations to culminate in tournament-style team play. The emphasis is on building confidence with the ball whilst developing tactical awareness of how individual skills serve team objectives.

- • Develop accurate passing technique using the inside of the foot
- • Learn to receive and control the ball effectively

How can we combine passing and dribbling to outsmart defenders and keep possession?

- • To combine dribbling and passing skills to maintain possession
- • To make tactical decisions about when to pass or dribble based on game situations
