This unit introduces Year 3 students to the tactical foundations of tag rugby through a carefully structured progression from individual skills to collaborative team play. The emphasis is on developing students' understanding of space, communication, and decision-making within the context of invasion games. Each lesson builds upon previous learning whilst introducing new challenges that require students to apply their skills under increasing pressure, culminating in sophisticated backward passing strategies that demonstrate advanced tactical thinking.
