This unit introduces Year 4 students to the technical aspects of athletics through a multi-event approach, developing fundamental movement skills across running, jumping, and throwing disciplines. The emphasis is on technique refinement over competition, building confidence through progressive skill development whilst introducing the collaborative and supportive nature of athletics. Students experience the diversity of athletic events whilst developing personal achievement mindsets and understanding how technical improvements lead to better performance.
