This unit develops Year 5 students' athletics competence through systematic skill building in running, jumping, and throwing whilst nurturing leadership capabilities. The progressive approach moves from individual technique mastery to collaborative performance, culminating in students designing and leading their own athletics events. Through the integration of technical skills with communication and organisational abilities, students experience athletics as both personal achievement and community leadership.
