This unit develops Year 5 students' collaborative problem-solving abilities through progressively complex outdoor and adventurous activities. Beginning with non-verbal communication challenges, students build trust and teamwork skills before advancing to orienteering and leadership challenges. The unit uniquely combines physical navigation skills with essential life skills of communication, trust-building, and creative thinking in authentic, engaging contexts.
