Positioning the body perpendicular to the net before hitting
Creating topspin by sweeping the racket upward across the back of the ball
Balanced stance with knees bent, racket up, ready to move

Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Counting points and scores, measuring court distances, angles of shots and movements
Forces and motion in ball flight, friction between racket and ball, body systems during exercise
Court dimensions and spatial awareness, directional language and positioning
Teamwork and cooperation, resilience when learning new skills, fair play and honesty in scoring
Central position with clear view of all courts, rotate to provide individual feedback
Watch for correct grip, stance, swing path, and ball contact timing
Step in when students struggling with technique or safety becoming compromised
Demonstrate: Exaggerate key positions for visibility. Use slow-motion for technique, normal speed for timing
Minimum 15m x 20m per court, clear of obstacles and other activities
Even surface free from hazards, suitable for running and stopping safely
Stop activity immediately, assess injury, provide appropriate first aid or support, clear area if needed
