When the ball bounces off the goalpost or backboard after a missed shot and can be caught by either team
When the attacking team regains possession of the ball after their own missed shot
When the defending team gains possession after the attacking team misses a shot
Using body position to prevent opponents from getting to the rebound
Knocking the ball away from opponents rather than catching it cleanly
Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Calculating rebound angles, measuring jump heights, tracking statistics and success rates
Forces and motion in ball trajectory, body mechanics in jumping, gravity and acceleration
Spatial awareness and positioning, understanding angles and directions around the goal
Teamwork and cooperation, handling competitive pressure, resilience when unsuccessful
Position at corner of playing area for visibility of all students, move between groups during practice
Watch for safe jumping technique, tactical positioning, and appropriate competitive behaviour
Step in if physical contact becomes excessive or students appear confused about positioning
Use exaggerated movements for technique demonstration, involve confident students as examples, show both successful and common error examples
Minimum 15m x 15m area per group, with netball post or equivalent target
Dry, even surface free from obstacles and adequate for jumping and landing
Stop activity immediately for any collision or injury, assess severity, provide appropriate first aid and support
