A serving technique where the ball is hit from above shoulder height with an extended arm
A defensive technique using forearms to pass the ball upward from a low position
An attacking preparation shot using fingertips to place the ball accurately for a spike
Athletic stance with feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent, weight on balls of feet
Understanding of when and how to use different skills based on game situation
Continuous play where the ball is kept in the air by both teams
Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Measuring serving distances, calculating success percentages, counting consecutive hits in rotation drill, geometric understanding of court areas and angles
Forces in serving motion, trajectory and gravity effects on ball flight, energy transfer from server to ball, biomechanics of athletic movement
Spatial awareness and positioning, mapping court areas and tactical zones, understanding of direction and movement patterns
Communication skills and effective teamwork, dealing with competitive pressure and disappointment, leadership and supporting others
Move dynamically between courts during game play, position at corner for maximum visibility during skill practice, stand behind servers during technique work
Watch for serving technique development, communication quality between partners, tactical decision-making in game situations, ready position consistency
Step in when serving technique becomes unsafe, when students show frustration with challenges, when communication breaks down between partners
Use students as positive examples when possible, demonstrate serving technique with exaggerated contact point, show ready position with emphasis on alertness and balance
Indoor sports hall or outdoor court area minimum 30m x 20m to accommodate multiple small courts with adequate safety margins
Non-slip surface free from water/debris, appropriate court markings visible, adequate lighting for ball tracking
Stop all activity immediately, assess injury severity, apply appropriate first aid, summon additional help if required, ensure other students remain safely positioned
