This unit empowers Year 7 students to take ownership of their fitness journey by learning to assess, interpret and apply fitness data. Through progressive testing and training experiences, students develop both physical competence and health literacy, understanding how different components of fitness connect to performance and wellbeing. The unit bridges the gap between primary PE and secondary sports science, introducing students to evidence-based training whilst maintaining an engaging, active focus.
