This unit introduces Year 7 students to essential self-protection skills through a carefully scaffolded progression from safe falling techniques to controlled defensive movements. The focus is on developing body awareness, controlled responses and personal safety knowledge in a supportive, trust-building environment. Through physical skill development and reflective assessment, students build confidence in their ability to protect themselves whilst understanding the responsibility that comes with these techniques.
