This unit introduces Year 7 students to the fundamental skills of softball through a carefully sequenced progression from individual technique to competitive match play. The focus is on developing technical competence in catching, throwing, fielding, hitting, and pitching whilst building tactical understanding of how defensive skills can create attacking opportunities. Through progressive challenges, students develop both the physical literacy required for striking and fielding games and the decision-making abilities essential for effective team play.
