This unit develops Year 8 students' interpersonal and leadership skills through progressive team challenges that require communication, trust, and strategic thinking. Moving beyond traditional sport-based PE, it addresses the critical social and emotional competencies needed for adolescent development whilst maintaining physical engagement. The unit creates a safe environment for exploring vulnerability, leadership roles, and collaborative problem-solving under increasingly complex conditions.
