This unit establishes the essential movement foundations that underpin all future PE learning, guiding Reception students from static control to dynamic travelling skills. Through playful exploration and animal-inspired activities, students develop body awareness, spatial understanding, and confidence in fundamental movements. The progressive approach ensures every child experiences success whilst building the physical literacy skills needed for games, gymnastics, and dance in later years.
