Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Counting mud monster catches, measuring distances to markers, understanding 'nearest' as a mathematical concept
Heart rate changes during exercise, understanding how muscles work during running, discussing balance and coordination
Directional language (towards, away from, nearest), mapping movement patterns around space
Teamwork through rescue activities, managing emotions during competitive games, showing respect for others' abilities
Move around the perimeter of the space to observe all students, position centrally during demonstrations
Running technique maintenance under pressure, spatial awareness development, safe play in games
Step in if tagging becomes too rough, provide technique reminders during games, offer encouragement to less confident students
Use exaggerated movements for technique points, highlight good examples from students during activities, demonstrate at child height for better visibility
Minimum 15m x 10m clear space, preferably in sports hall or large classroom
Non-slip, even surface free from obstacles and hazards
Stop activity immediately on safety concern, assess situation, provide appropriate first aid support if needed, have contact details for school nurse/first aider
