This unit develops Year 1 students' fundamental running techniques through progressive exploration of speed, space, and teamwork. Beginning with basic body mechanics and safety awareness, students build confidence in their natural running ability whilst learning to adapt their movement for different purposes. The emphasis is on exploration and play-based learning, allowing children to discover how their bodies work most effectively whilst developing essential spatial awareness and early collaborative skills.
