Watch for coordinated arm drive, safe landing technique, and appropriate risk-taking with equipment
Step in when students attempt heights beyond ability, technique breaks down, or safety awareness decreases
Use exaggerated movements to show technique points clearly. Invite students to demonstrate good examples. Break down complex movements into component parts.
Minimum 25m x 20m clear space for warm-up games and jumping activities
Dry, even surface essential for safe landing. Avoid hard surfaces if possible - grass or sports hall ideal
Stop activity immediately if injury occurs. Assess injury severity and provide appropriate first aid. Have alternative activity ready for student unable to participate.
