Moving arms backwards then forwards to help with jumping power
Landing with knees bent to absorb the impact safely
Understanding where you are in relation to others and objects
Players whose job is to stop the attacking team
Players whose job is to get past the defending team
Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Counting jumps, measuring distances, understanding direction and position, problem-solving with routes
Understanding forces in jumping, how muscles work, heart rate changes during exercise, balance and gravity
Using directional language, spatial awareness, mapping movement paths around obstacles
Teamwork and cooperation, helping others, showing resilience when facing challenges, being honest about rules
Move around the outside of activity areas to maintain full visibility of all students
Prioritise jumping technique, spatial awareness, and safe interactions between students
Step in when technique deteriorates, students become unsafe, or rules are not being followed
Use slow-motion demonstrations for technique, show both correct and incorrect examples for comparison, involve students in demonstrations where appropriate
Minimum 15m x 20m clear space, suitable for jumping activities
Even, non-slip surface free from hazards, suitable for landing activities
Stop activity immediately if injury occurs, assess need for first aid, contact school procedures as required
