This unit introduces Year 3 students to the fundamental techniques of Olympic athletics events through progressive skill development and personal challenge. The focus is on building proper technique foundations whilst fostering a growth mindset where students compete against themselves rather than just others. Through exploring sprint starts, hurdling, throwing, jumping, and relay work, students develop both individual athletic skills and collaborative teamwork abilities.
