This unit introduces Year 3 students to yoga as a holistic practice that connects mind, body, and breath for developing physical strength, emotional regulation, and mental focus. Through progressive exploration of poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices, students discover how yoga can be a personal toolkit for managing feelings and building confidence. The emphasis is on creating a nurturing environment where children can explore their physical capabilities whilst developing emotional awareness and self-regulation skills that extend beyond the PE lesson.
