This unit develops Year 4 students as tactical basketball players who understand how individual skills serve team objectives. Rather than teaching skills in isolation, students learn defensive pressure, dribbling, marking, passing, shooting, and footwork through the lens of tactical decision-making. The interweaving of offensive and defensive concepts throughout creates a holistic understanding of how basketball skills work together in competitive situations.
