This unit develops Year 6 students' physical and mental awareness through progressive yoga practice, moving from learning foundational poses to creating personally meaningful sequences. The emphasis on breath-led movement provides a unique opportunity for students to develop body control, balance and strength whilst simultaneously building focus, resilience and creative expression. Through scaffolded progression from teacher-led flows to independent creation, students gain both technical competence and confidence in their own movement choices.
