•Check racquet strings are intact and grips are secure

Clearly mark doubles service boxes and boundaries
Alternative: Chalk lines, masking tape, existing court markings
Laminated sheets with dry-wipe markers for reuse
Alternative: Skill checklist cards, teacher observation sheets
The specific area where the shuttle must land when serving in doubles - shorter and wider than singles
A powerful attacking overhead shot hit downwards into the opponent's court
Quick, explosive movement of the wrist and forearm to generate power in the smash
Moving to the optimal place behind the shuttle to execute an effective shot
A shot played with the intention of winning the point immediately or gaining a significant advantage
Understanding where pupils are coming from and where they're going
Calculating angles for smash shots, measuring court dimensions, keeping score and statistics
Understanding forces in racquet sports, projectile motion of shuttlecock, energy transfer in power shots
Spatial awareness and court positioning, understanding of boundaries and area concepts
Teamwork and communication, resilience when learning new skills, respect for opponents and officials
Central location with clear view of all courts, move between courts during practice activities
Watch for correct serving technique, smash positioning, doubles communication and safety
Step in if technique is unsafe, if rules are misunderstood, or if games become too aggressive
Always demonstrate techniques slowly first, then at full speed, emphasising safety throughout
Minimum 4 badminton courts (13.4m x 6.1m each) with 2m clearance around all sides
