This unit uses dance as a powerful medium for students to explore and embody the fundamental British Values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance. Through creative movement, students develop physical literacy alongside critical thinking about citizenship, working from individual expression to collaborative group performances. The unit uniquely bridges PE and PSHE curricula, using choreographic techniques to deepen understanding of shared societal values.

- • To develop 3-4 actions into flowing travelling sequences
- • To demonstrate creative use of levels, pathways and directions

How can we use creative movement to express British values whilst working collaboratively with a partner?
Key Objectives:
- • To develop creative choreography using visual stimulus and British Values themes
- • To demonstrate effective teamwork and collaborative skills in pairs work
Lesson 4
Big Question:
How can we use chance and collaboration to express our understanding of British Values through movement?
Key Objectives:
- • To work effectively in collaborative groups of 4-6 students
- • To create a 32-64 count dance sequence using chance choreography techniques
