This unit uses the Sport Education model to transform dodgeball from a recreational game into a vehicle for developing both sophisticated technical skills and authentic leadership capabilities. Students experience ownership of their learning through rotating team roles whilst progressively mastering throwing, dodging, and defensive techniques. The culmination in student-led game creation and tournament play ensures skills are applied in meaningful, student-centred contexts that mirror real sporting environments.
