Assessment

Assess a class in the time it takes to line them up

One row per pupil, one column per domain, four levels. Tap and it's saved.

Head, Heart and Hands

PE is not only what a child can physically do. Assess all three domains, or switch off the ones you aren't looking at today.

Head

Cognitive

Rules, tactics and decisions. What they understand about the game.

Heart

Social-Emotional

Resilience, fair play and how they work with everyone else.

Hands

Physical

Technique, control and movement. What they can do.

Four levels, and what they mean here

Emerging, Developing, Secure, Mastering. Every unit carries its own written success criteria for all four, so the descriptor for this unit is one tap from the grid: a drawer on your phone, a dialog on a laptop.

Or your own criteria, if you'd rather

If you assess something Head, Heart and Hands doesn't cover, add it. Name your own levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold, or your swimming stages - or set a numeric scale and grade 1 to 5. Then choose which criteria a unit uses: alongside the three domains, or instead of them. The ones you build are there the next time you assess.

There is no save button

Tapping a level saves it. It shows immediately and rolls back if the network drops. Tapping a level a pupil already has does nothing at all, so a stray thumb can't wipe a grade you've already given.

See the class, not just the pupil

One bar shows how a class is spread across the four levels, with a count for each. Underneath, every unit shows how much of it you've assessed, so you know what's still outstanding before reports are due.

Starting a new year

Copy last year's classes forward and each one moves up a year group automatically. Bring the pupils with them, or start with an empty register.

Assess anything you teach

Taught something that isn't on the curriculum plan? Add the unit to the class and assess against it. Your plan stays exactly as it was.

Assessment starts with a plan

Classes, units and academic years all come from your curriculum plan. Set that up once and assessment follows.
