Signing in should never be the hard part of your day. This release rounds out every route into an account.

Forgotten passwords

The sign-in page now carries a Forgot password? link. Enter your email address and you will be sent a link to set a new one. The page gives the same response whether or not an account exists, and requests are limited to three an hour per address.

Confirming new accounts

Accounts created with an email address and password now receive a confirmation email first. This stops a mistyped address from becoming an account nobody can reach, and it means the address on your account is one you can actually receive mail at.

Google, Microsoft, email-and-password and secure email link sign-in are offered side by side, so you can use whichever your school prefers.
